Orange Shirt Day, also known as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, is a significant observance in Canada. It takes place annually on September 30.
The day is dedicated to honoring the survivors of the Indian residential school system and recognizing the impact of this system on Indigenous communities.
The orange shirt is a symbol of the stripping away of culture, freedom and self-esteem experienced by Indigenous children over generations, inspired by the story of Phyllis Webstad, whose orange shirt was taken from her on her first day of school.

Details: Tee Pick-up will be in the Indigenous Centre from 9am-11am, the Honour Walk will start at 11am, and we'll convene in Aultsville foyer for a feast and reflection.

Food Provided (Indigenous food will be available after the Walk.)
