How long are points valid before resetting?
Your Surge Rewards points never reset! You can accumulate points throughout your entire college career and continue to unlock higher tiers and rewards.
What happens if I don't spend all of my points when the semester ends?
No need to worry! Your Surge Rewards points carry over throughout your entire college journey. You won't lose any of your hard-earned points at the end of a semester.
Can my friends and I combine our points to claim bigger items or a higher quantity of rewards?
Surge Rewards points are awarded to individual students, and they cannot be combined or shared with others. Each student is responsible for managing their own points.
What happens if I'm missing points but I attended an event?

How many prizes or rewards can each student claim?
Each student has the opportunity to achieve each tier once. As you progress through the tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Surge Supreme), you'll unlock unique rewards associated with each level. Once you've claimed the rewards for a tier, you can't claim them again at the same tier level.
Is it possible to lose points?
At this time, there is no way to lose Surge Rewards points. Once you earn them, they are yours to keep and use towards unlocking exciting rewards and experiences. Your dedication is always rewarded!
What happens if I don't check into my event? Can I still get points?
To receive points for attending an event, it's essential to check in at the event venue. This process helps us accurately track your participation. If you encounter any issues with event check-in, don't worry! Simply inform the event facilitator, and they can assist you by manually adding your points after the event. Your dedication to attending events will still be rewarded; we're here to ensure you get the recognition you deserve.
Can I get points for my previous years?
Unfortunately, Surge Rewards officially began in the Fall 2023 semester, and points cannot be retroactively awarded for years prior to that. However, you can start earning points from the moment you join Surge Rewards and continue accumulating them throughout your college journey. So, jump right in and start earning rewards today!
How can staff and faculty get their events to give points?
Staff and faculty can have their events included in the Surge Rewards Program by ensuring the event meets certain criteria. The event must be a college/campus-wide event (program-specific events may be possible in the future), and it must be submitted through UR SLC, our event submission platform. This ensures that the event is eligible for Surge Rewards points, allowing students to earn points for their participation.
