Boas Festas!

The last month has been another great month for the St. Lawrence College Portuguese Club. Club officers want to congratulate all members on their successes on this, the last day of the Fall 2024 semester!

While we may not be on campus until January while we enjoy a much needed break, the Portuguese Club is continuing its efforts in bringing together the large Portuguese community that we have on campus. Another batch of posters is ready to go up across campus to welcome the new students of Portuguese descent that will be starting their college journey in the Winter 2025 semester. I hope that everyone at the club will do their best to bring in more members and help the new students of SLC feel welcome in our campus community.

On top of the semester ending on an academic level, the SLC Intramural Sports Fall 2024 season also ended in the last couple weeks. Portuguese Club Athletics really made a name for itself during the season, making it to the quarterfinals in volleyball, and upsetting their quarterfinals opponents to make it to the semis in soccer. As player-manager of both of these teams, I am very proud of the effort of our players during the season and could not be more thrilled with our teams early success.
